GW Gymnastics to Host Pink Meet on Sunday

WASHINGTON - The George Washington gymnastics team returns home for the first time since February 1 when it hosts Yale and Western Michigan for the Pink Meet on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the Charles E. Smith Center.
GW (14-2-1) currently holds a national ranking of No. 36 in the country according to its Regional Qualifying Score of 194.875. The Colonials are also ranked No. 18 on vault (49.150 RQS) and No. 24 on floor exercise (48.975 RQS).
GW is the top vaulting team in the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) with four gymnasts ranked among the top five of the individual rankings.
Freshman Cami Drouin-Allaire, the reigning EAGL Gymnast of the Week, leads the conference and ranks 19th in the nation with a vault RQS of 9.895. Sophomore Chelsea Raineri ranks second in the league with a RQS of 9.875 while freshman Jillian Winstanley sits third at 9.855. Senior Elena Corcoran currently ranks fifth with a RQS of 9.810.
Winstanley ranks second in the EAGL in the all-around (39.135 RQS) while Drouin-Allaire sits third (39.115 RQS) entering the weekend.
Additionally, Raineri is the conference's top floor-exercise performer with a RQS of 9.865.
GW last competed in a dual-meet loss at Kent State last Sunday. Drouin-Allaire won the vault title for the fifth consecutive week with a score of 9.875 while winning the all-around by scoring 39.10.
