GW Gymnastics Continues Road Trip on Saturday at NC State

WASHINGTON - The George Washington gymnastics team, currently ranked No. 26 in the nation and off to a program-best 11-0 start to the season, will return to action on Saturday night at NC State's Beauty and the Beast Meet at Reynolds Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. against the host Wolfpack and William & Mary.
Saturday's meet marks the third of five consecutive road meets for the Colonials, who picked up a pair of dual-meet wins in California last weekend over Sacramento State and UC Davis.
The Colonials set a new team record on vault by scoring 49.275 at UC Davis while also posting a new season-high team score (195.725) and balance beam score (49.075).
In addition to GW's overall national ranking of No. 26, the Colonials are also ranked 18th in the nation on vault with an average team score of 49.025 and 22nd on floor exercise with an average of 48.879.
The Colonials have at least one gymnast ranked among the top five of all events in the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL).
Sophomore Chelsea Raineri leads the conference on floor exercise with an average routine of 9.85, while freshman Cami Drouin-Allaire's average of 9.854 on vault ranks her third overall in the EAGL.
Freshman Sara Mermelstein ranks third overall on balance beam with an average of 9.779.
Freshman Jillian Winstanley ranks among the top five on both vault and all-around. She is currently third on vault with an average of 9.854 and third in the all-around, averaging 39.079.
