- GW finishes non-conference play with a 10-3 record, posting double-digit out-of-league victories for the second year in a row. Over the last three seasons, the Colonials have posted a 32-9 non-conference mark, including 16-3 in the month of December, and have entered Atlantic 10 play on a winning streak of at least five games in each season.
- The Colonials turned a one-point first-quarter advantage (22-21) into a 31-point win, its largest margin of victory this season. GW outscored the Hawks, 40-15, in the second and third quarters, allowing just six points on three field goals in the third period.
- Grad student Lauren Chase facilitated the Colonials' offense with a career-high 12 assists against just one turnover, finishing two helpers shy of the program single-game record (14) while equaling the eighth-most dimes in a game ever by a Colonial. Chase has averaged 7.8 assists with a 2.8 assist-to-turnover ratio over her last four contests.
- Rookie Mei-Lyn Bautista sunk three treys for a career-high nine points and added four assists -- also a career best -- in 19 minutes of play. Her three triples led all players, as the Colonials connected on seven 3's in the game, including a perfect 2-for-2 night from senior Aaliyah Brown.
- Senior Jonquel Jones, the nation's leading rebounder (15.2 rpg), recorded a game-high 12 rebounds against the Hawks, eclipsing the 900 mark for her career. She enters A-10 play with 903 career rebounds, including 823 as a Colonial, which moves her past former teammate Tara Booker ('13) and into sixth place on GW's all-time list.
- The top rebounding team in the nation (52.0 rpg), the Colonials won the battle of the boards for the 13th straight game to start the season, posting a dominant 60-24 advantage on the glass. The 60 rebounds, which were a season high, included 30 offensive boards, which yielded a 20-3 edge in second-chance points.
- For the fourth game in a row, GW made more foul shots than its opponent attempted, as the Colonials' 11 free throws in 16 attempts dwarfed Hartford's 1-for-3 performance at the stripe.
