GW Men's Cross Country Competes at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. - The George Washington men's cross country team had five harriers set or tie their 8,000-meter personal records on Saturday morning at the Princeton Invitational at the West Windsor Fields.
The Colonials finished in 15th place in the team standings out of 21 competing squads.
Senior Ryan Tucker was the top GW performer for the fifth time this season after completing the course in 24:42.30 to take 29th place out of 181 competitors.
Junior Seamus Roddy was next across the finish line for the Colonials, posting a new personal record of 25:20.20 to clinch 71st place. He bested his previous 8K mark by seven seconds.
Freshman Andrew Weber shaved 17 seconds off his previous best, finishing in 25:30.70 to take 82nd place in the race.
Sophomore Carter Day, competing in his first cross country race of the season, topped his best 8K time by 34 seconds to finish in 25:42.00 (90th place). Sophomore Ryan DePinto rounded out GW's scoring runners by finishing in 26:12.00 for 111th place.
GW's remaining two competitors also set or tied new personal records on Saturday. Sophomore Charles Arnold equaled his top 8K time by finishing in 26:18.50 (115th) while freshman Connor James posted a new best time in 26:23.10 (117th).
GW will be idle next weekend in preparation for the Atlantic 10 Championship on Oct. 31 at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Virginia.
