WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's indoor track team will make its collegiate debut when it sends a pair of runners to compete at the Maryland Invitational in Landover, Maryland, on Saturday.
The competition marks the first-ever indoor track appearance by the women's indoor track team.
Graduate student Hannah Rowe, along with sophomore Macaulay Porter, will compete in the 3,000-meter run at approximately 3:15 p.m.
Rowe, who ran collegiately at Dartmouth in both cross country and track before transferring, will be making her GW debut. She holds a personal indoor record of 10:02.19 in the 3,000m.
Porter, an Atlantic 10 All-Conference performer in cross country, has competed in both indoor and outdoor track as an unattached runner over the past year. She finished in 15th-place overall in the 5,000-meter Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championship on November 1.
