BETHANY BEACH, Del. - The George Washington golf 'A' team tallied a three-round score of 895 to finish fourth out of 12 teams at the Colonials' 14th Annual Intercollegiate Invitational at the Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club. The GW 'B' team finished in ninth place with a three-round score of 927 on the par-72, 6,834-yard course.

The reigning tournament champion, senior Andres Pumariega led the Buff and Blue as he fired a 2-under 70 in the final round on Saturday. Pumariega finished in a tie for fourth out of 69 golfers with a three-round total of 4-over 220.

Penn won the event for the second year in a row after shooting a notable three-round score of 866. The Quakers' Max Marsico won individual honors with a total of 4-under 212. Boston College finished in second with a three-round total of 881, and Delaware finished third, one stroke behind the Eagles.

GW senior Martin Liu shot an even-par 72 on Saturday to finish one stroke behind Pumariega and tie for sixth with a three-round score of 5-over 221. Freshman Jack Persons finished the weekend with a total of 7-over 223 to tie for 14th place, and senior Brandon Rukin finished in a tie for 21st with a three-round total of 9-over 225.

Freshman Jonathan Dresnick shot an even-par 72 on Saturday to finish in a tie for 39th with a three-round score of 15-over 231. Tied for 42nd with a three-round total of 16-over 232 were senior Taylor Fuqua and sophomore Graham Lawyer.
