Holly Farris Joins GW Softball Coaching Staff

"We are fortunate and excited that Coach Farris has accepted the assistant coaching position at GW as her experiences with one of the top programs in the nation are invaluable," said Coach Schramm. "We look forward to Coach Farris sharing ideas and techniques with our student-athletes, and there is no doubt she will be a key component in raising the bar for this program."
A native of
In 2008, Farris led the Aggies to their first Women's College World Series appearance since 1987. That same year, she was named a Verizon Scholar-Athlete and landed spots on the Big 12 Conference's All-Conference, All-Tournament and All-Academic First Teams.
Farris still remains part of the Texas A&M record book as she ranks seventh on the all-time home runs list with 24 during her career.
For the past year, Farris has served as a graduate assistant in Texas A&M's Division of Sport Management. She is currently working toward her master's degree in sport management.
