Women's Basketball's Janine Davis Given Transfer Release

WASHINGTON, DC - Sophomore guard Janine Davis has been granted her transfer release from the George Washington women's basketball program, the university announced Wednesday.
"Janine has made the decision that it's in her best interests to pursue her academic and basketball interests at another institution," said head coach Mike Bozeman. "Her contributions to the program the last two seasons are appreciated and we wish her the best going forward."
Davis played in 49 games with 15 starts in two seasons at GW, averaging 2.0 points on 21.8 percent shooting, 1.6 assists and 1.0 rebounds in 19.9 minutes per game.
