Two Midfielders Named to Preseason A-10 All-Rookie Team

WASHINGTON, DC - Freshmen Alex Neal and Jane Wallis were named as the George Washington University representatives to the Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Preseason All-Rookie team, the Conference announced on Tuesday.
A Lake Villa, IL, native, Neal set a single-season scoring record for the Lakes Community Eagles as a senior, scoring 37 goals and adding 16 assists. Neal also played with club teams Eclipse Select and ELA Elite, winning multiple state, Region 2 and national championships.
Wallis, a midfielder from Briarcliff Manor, NY, gained experience playing with two Olympic Development Program teams, Eastern New York North and Region 1, as well as helping the Briarcliff Bears to three state Class B Championships.
The Colonials open the 2010 regular season on Friday, August 27, against Georgetown at the Hoyas' North Kehoe Field at 3:00 p.m.
