WASHINGTON, DC - The Colonial Women's Gymnastics team returned to action for the final time in the regular season on Saturday in College Park, MD and finished with a team score of 192.100. Auburn won the meet with a team score of 196.225 and University of Maryland finished second with a team score of 195.825.
George Washington was led by junior Leslie Delima, who scored a 38.675 in the all-around. Freshman Kayla Carto finished with an all-around score of 37.850 and senior Megan Quinn also scored a 38.425 in the all-around of her final home meet. Sophomore Amanda Murphy was the fourth all-around performer and finished with a 38.550.
The Colonials performed best on floor for the third straight meet, scoring a 48.875 in the rotation and were led by Delima and Parretti, who scored 9.850 and 9.825. Murphy and Quinn led the Colonials on balance beam with a score of 9.675 and 9.600. Murphy led George Washington on bars with a score of 9.550. Delima also led the Colonials on vault with a score of 9.750.
Auburn was led in the all-around by Kylie Shields, who finished with an all-around score of 39.275. Justine Foster also had the highest individual score when she scored a 9.900 on vault.
George Washington will return to action this Saturday, March 27 when they return to action in the EAGL Championships in Duluth, NH. First rotation is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. EST
