Two Swimmers Bring Home A-10 Honors

WASHINGTON, DC - The Atlantic 10 Conference has named senior Paola Leor and freshman Niccolo Wilson Women's Performer and men's Rookie of the Week, respectively after both squads defeated Drexel at Charles E. Smith Center Natatorium on Sunday.
Leor won each of her individual races in the 50-yard freestyle (24.19), the 100-yard freestyle (52.10) and the 100-yard butterfly (58.14). She also helped the women's squad to a 145-114 win with a first-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay over the Dragons.
Wilson won the men's 100-yard freestyle from the outside lane in a time of 48.00, and helped the 400-yard freestyle relay team to a tight second-place finish. The San Diego, CA, native also finished third in the 100-yard butterfly (53.82) and 50-yard freestyle (22.06), as the men's squad defeated Drexel 151-110.
The Colonials will swim next at George Mason's Patriot Invitational on Nov. 19-21 at the Jack McKay Natatorium in Fairfax, VA.
