NEWPORT NEWS, VA - George Washington men's soccer sophomore forward Seth Rudolph earned a share of his second Atlantic 10 Player of the Week award of the season Monday after posting his second hat trick of the year in Sunday's 4-0 victory over Saint Joseph's.
Rudolph, who shared this week's honor with La Salle's Ryan Richter, totaled four goals and eight points to help GW to a split of its final two matches of the season.
The Belleville, IL, native scored the Colonials' lone goal in Friday's 2-1 loss at Temple, then pumped in three more goals, including the game-winner in the eighth minute, in Sunday's rout of the Hawks. Rudolph owns two of the A-10's three hat tricks this season.
Rudolph was also named A-10 Player of the Week Sept. 13 after posting a hat trick against Mount St. Mary's Sept. 11 and four goals and eight points during two matches that week. He has 14 goals and 30 points in 35 career matches.
The sophomore striker finished the regular season ranked second in the league with 10 goals and third with 21 points. He's also tied for 22nd in NCAA Division I in total goals and tied for 30th nationally with a 0.56 goals-per-game average.
