NORMAN, OK -- GW sophomore Brendan Barrack (Toronto, ONT) has been named to the 2009 Division I PING All-Northeast Region Team, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) June 8.
It marks another in a string of honors for Barrack who was named the team's MVP this season as a sophomore. A six-time Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week as a freshman last year, Barrack had an even better year in 2008-09. He was the co-champion of a pair of tournaments and posted four Top-5 finishes and eight Top-20 finishes in 12 events this season. His 74.7 stroke average led the Colonials in 2008-09 and his individual head-to-head record was 683-206 (.768).
Barrack was joined by five other Atlantic 10 golfers on the All-Region team: Jim Bea (Saint Joseph's), Kevin Busteed and Eric Plisko of Temple and Rhode Island's Taylor Fontaine and Mark Stevens.
