Colonials Place Third In Morgantown Meet

MORGANTOWN, WV - The George Washington University Women's Gymnastics team returned to action Saturday night and finished third in the West Virginia Alumni meet that also featured Maryland and Rutgers University.
The Colonials placed a team score of 191.775 in their second consecutive road meet after beginning the season at home.
Sophomore Leslie Delima continued her strong sophomore season with a 38.125 in the all-around, including three scores of 9.700 or more. She also posted the high score of the night, along with Megan Quinn when she recorded a 9.825 on floor. Quinn also produced the score on floor as well.
Erin Quigg also came through with a strong vault routine as she earned a 9.700. Redshirt senior Gillian Coleman also produced strong routines as she scored a 9.750 on floor and a 9.700 on bars. Senior Kristen Simpson also put forth a 9.700 on vault.
The Uneven Bars was the Colonials strongest event as they scored a 48.400.
George Washington will be able to return home when they return to the court next when they host the same Mountaineers on Monday, February 9th. It will be the annual "Pink Meet" at the Smith Center and the first rotation is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
