Etz Named A-10 Rookie Swimmer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, VA -- The Atlantic 10 Conference named The George Washington University freshman Alex Etz (Austin, TX/Stephen F. Austin HS) A-10 Men's Swimming Rookie of the Week on Monday.
In the Nov. 7 double dual meet against Drexel and Villanova, Etz led the men's team with wins in the 100-yard backstroke (53.59) and 200-yard backstroke (1:56.09). He also swam the first leg in the 200-yard medley relay (1:38.13) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:14.16) for GW.
Etz and the Colonials swim team next compete at the Patriot Invitational hosted by George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, on Nov. 20-22.
