Etz Named A-10 Rookie Swimmer of the Week

WASHINGTON, DC -- George Washington's Alex Etz has been named Atlantic-10 Men's Swimming Rookie of the Week on Monday. It marks Etz's second weekly honor this season.
In the three-day Patriot Invitational hosted by George Mason on Nov. 20-22, Etz scored the most points (81) for the Colonials. Etz swam the 100-yard backstroke in 53.46 seconds and the 200-yard backstroke in 1:55.96.
He also swam in four relays for GW, including as the third leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that posted a time of 1:26.75 to finish seventh.
The Colonials next swim at Charles E. Smith Center Pool on Saturday, Dec. 5, against Old Dominion University starting at 1 p.m.
