PHILADELPHIA, PA - George Washington men's soccer forward Seth Rudolph has been selected Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week the league announced Monday afternoon. Rudolph scored both goals in the Colonials' 2-0 league victory against Xavier on Friday.
Rudolph netted two goals in the first 15 minutes to give GW all the offense it needed in the 2-0 victory over the Musketeers. Rudolph scored his second game-winning goal of the season just 1:50 into the match and added an insurance goal in the 15th minute. He is tied for second on the team with four goals and has nine points (4g/1a) in 14 matches this season.
Rudolph, who split this week's award with Duquesne's Joshua Patterson, is the second GW player to receive the Co-Rookie of the Week honor this season - goalkeeper Brendan Lafferty also split the award on Sept. 8.
GW (8-7-0, 2-4-0), which is tied for 10th in the A-10 standings, hosts ninth-place Richmond at Mount Vernon Field this Saturday, Oct. 31, at 3:00 pm.
