The Colonials were led by senior Kristen Simpson, who recorded a career-high 9.700 on floor exercise and a 9.825 on vault. Sophomore Leslie Delima and freshman Amanda Murphy were the two all-around performers for the Colonials and scored a 38.700 and 37.175 respectively.
The strongest event for George Washington was the balance beam, where all six competitors scored at least 9.600 and four scored over a 9.700. This led to a score of 48.650 for the event in the fifth rotation and put the Colonials in prime position to win the invitational.
Erin Quigg and Delima also had standout scores on vault scoring 9.775 and 9.725 each, which placed them third and fifth overall in the six-team invitational. Junior Christa Devine also put forth two strong routines as she scored a 9.775 on beam and a 9.700 on bars. That gave her a fourth place overall finish on beam and a third place finish in the entire Invitational on bars.
