GW Promotes Women's Soccer Assistant Coach Neel Bhattacharjee

WASHINGTON, DC-GW women's soccer head coach Tanya Vogel has announced the promotion of assistant coach Neel Bhattacharjee to associate head coach. Bhattacharjee is in his third season as a coach with the Colonial's soccer program and will continue to serve as the recruiting coordinator at GW.
"Neel is the consummate professional and has worked tirelessly since his arrival at GW," said Head Coach Tanya Vogel. "We are back on track with our recruiting and look forward to the successes of our incoming freshman and future classes at GW."
Prior to GW, Bhattacharjee was a member of the US goalkeeping coaching staff for the U-21 Women's National Team, accompanying them on their trip to England and Scotland. He is a Region I ODP goalkeeper coach and continues to work with the Potomac and Bethesda Soccer Clubs in Maryland.
The Randolph, NJ, native earned two bachelor's degrees from the University of Maryland in 1998 and earned his master's degree from Texas State University in 2000. He has been pursuing a ph.D in geography at Arizona State University. He was the goalkeeper for the club soccer teams at Maryland and ASU.
