Gymnastics Hosts Towson Tuesday In Pivotal Senior Night

WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington gymnastics hosts Towson University Tuesday for Senior Night at 7:00 pm at Charles E. Smith Athletic Center. Prior to the start of the meet, the Colonials will honor senior tri-captains Gillian Coleman, Carolyn Marckesano and McKenzie Parrack, all of whom will be competing in their final home meets at GW.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE TIGERS
Sophomore Jackie Schweitzer won the uneven bars (9.825), tied for first place on balance beam (9.775) and finished second on the floor exercise (9.800) as she led Towson to a victory over William & Mary and Yale University in the Towson Center on Saturday evening. Sophomore Alice McDonald won the vault (9.750) while junior Annukka Almenoksa tied with Schweitzer to win beam (9.775) for the Tigers, who scored 193.300 points on the night. Senior Decelia Willacy also won the floor exercise (9.850).
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE COLONIALS
The Colonials are coming off a fourth place finish at #18 North Carolina State's quad meet, finishing with 192.550 points. GW took fourth despite tying or defeating North Carolina in three of four events on the night. Senior McKenzie Parrack showed the way for the Colonials, scoring at least a 9.7 in all three of her events, including a career-high 9.775 on floor. Junior Erin Quigg led GW on vault (9.750), while sophomore Christa Devine led the Colonials on bars (9.750). Sophomore Lindsay Tom and freshman Leslie Delima paced GW on beam with a pair of 9.675s. Parrack tied with sophomore Megan Quinn for the team lead on floor (9.775).
These same two teams will meet again Friday night, March 21 at Towson for a 7:00 pm start.
