PHILADELPHIA, PA - George Washington women's basketball's home games against Villanova on Jan. 21 and Temple on March 1 will be nationally televised on CBS College Sports, the Atlantic 10 Conference announced Monday.
Times for both games have been adjusted to accommodate television. GW's final non-conference game against Villanova has been pushed back to 8:00 pm, while the regular-season finale versus Temple has been moved ahead to 1:00 pm.
The league also announced CBS College Sports and ESPN2, respectively, would once again televise the semifinals and championship game of the 2009 Atlantic 10 Championship. GW has reached at least the semifinals of the A-10 Championship six straight years and 16 of the last 17 seasons.
CBS College Sports Network (formerly CSTV) entered into a long-term, comprehensive agreement with the Atlantic 10 Conference in January, 2006. The agreement consists of all Conference-related media and marketing rights including television, national over-the-air and satellite radio, video-on-demand, Internet, broadband, wireless, and exclusive corporate sponsorship and licensing rights to all Atlantic 10 sports during the regular season and postseason championships, including the men's and women's basketball championships.
