Men's Swimming Finishes Fourth at Rhode Island Invitational

KINGSTON, RI - The George Washington University men's swimming & diving team finished fourth at this weekends Rhode Island Invitational. The Colonials were highlighted by five top five finishes at the two-day Invite, and three wins by junior David Zenk.
Zenk won all three of his individual races, the 200-yard IM (1:55.21), 100-yard backstroke (52.28) and 200-yard backstroke (1:52.65).
Sophomore Rick Rogers and freshman Andrew Maguire also earned top five finishes with Rogers taking fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.50) with Maguire just hundredths of a second off in sixth (1:02.53).
Maguire finished fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:14.86
Next up for the Colonials is their foe from the Hilltop, Georgetown, Sunday, Jan. 20 at Charles E. Smith Athletic Center. The diving portion of the meet will begin at 11:00 am, while the swimming portion will commence at 1:00 pm.
