GW Duo Earns National Academic Honors

WASHINGTON, DC - Two members of the George Washington University gymnastics team earned national academic honors, the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W) recently announced. Recent graduate Jessica Guilbert (Roswell, GA) and senior McKenzie Parrack (Richardson, TX) were two of 441 gymnasts named to the All-Academic Team for their success in the classroom during the 2007 season.
As a team, the Colonials had an overall GPA of 3.155 to earn NACGC/W Team honors for the seventh consecutive year.
Both Guilbert and Parrack received individual annals by recording a 4.0 GPA for the 2006-07 academic year.
Guilbert is receiving this award for the fourth consecutive year, while Parrack was recognized for the third straight season.
Southeast Missouri State received the academic national crown with the top overall GPA at 3.7408. The University of Denver followed with a 3.7360, while Southern Utah took third with a 3.7333.
