Seven Women's Rowers Named CRCA Scholar-Athletes

WASHINGTON, DC - Seven crew members from the George Washington women's rowing team were named CRCA (Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association) Scholar-Athletes, it was announced today. In order to be eligible for the honor, each athlete must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA and must have competed in at least 75% of their school's spring races, or conference championship.
Seniors Kate Austin, Liz Gordon, and Mansi Shah, all recieved the distinction for the second straight year. Fellow seniors Jenna Feistritzer and Ashley Larrimore, as well as, sophomores Bess Austin and Bonnie Scott received the award.
All seven scholar-athletes were instrumental in the Colonials' recapture of the Class of 1998 Cup vs. Georgetown.
