Mansi Shah Named To Academic All-Conference Team

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Senior coxswain Mansi Shah was named to the Women's Rowing Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team league officials announced on Tuesday. This is the second consecutive year that Shah has received the honor. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and be an important part of the team.
Shah was instrumental in helping the Colonials regain the class of 1998 Cup, which is an annual head-to-head battle with crosstown rival, Georgetown. In addition, she led GW to a fifth place finish in the Varsity Eight at the Atlantic 10 Championships.
The native of Mount Laurel, NJ is joined on the team by nine other rowers, including Abby Lively of Massachusetts, who was named Student-Athlete of the Year for the second straight year. Among the other honorees are Debbie Bateman of Saint Joseph's; Dana Bergquist, Arianna Mouradjian, and Katharine Podgor of Rhode Island; Dayton's Jeanna Heink, Stacia Kroetz and Jennifer Roussil of Fordham and Lively's teammate, Hannah Brewster.
The Colonials will conclude their season on Sunday, May 13 when they compete at the Eastern Sprints in Camden, NJ. This is the second consecutive year that Sah has received this honor.
