Gymnastics To Host Ohio State and Rhode Island on Sunday

WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington gymnastics team will host the Ohio State Buckeyes and Rhode Island Rams at 1:00 pm at the Charles E. Smith Athletic Center. The tri-meet will be the last home competition for seniors Jess Guilbert, Emily Howarth, Abbey Myles, and Maggie Parrack.
All four seniors have been instrumental for the Colonials in 2007 season. Emily Howarth is coming off a first place finish in the vault at Towson with a season-high 9.8. Jess Guilbert took second at Towson on the floor exercise with a season-high 9.825. Abbey Myles tied for third place at Towson on the uneven parallel bars with a season-high 9.8. Maggie Parrack scored a 9.65 on the floor exercise at Towson, and has been one of the most consistent performers for the Colonials on the year leading the team with a 9.66 average on that apparatus.
The Colonials are coming off two consecutive meets that they scored a 193.750. GW first scored the season high on March 12 in a loss to Kent State, and again on March 16 when they finished second in a tri-meet at Towson. After Sunday's meet, GW will travel to fellow East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) member, North Carolina, on Fri. March, 23 at 7:00 pm, to take on the host Tar Heels as well as William & Mary and Rhode Island.
Admission for tomorrows event is $4 for adults, $2 for children, and $1 for groups.
