Men's Swimming To Compete At Patriot Invitational This Weekend

WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington men's swimming & diving teams will oppose seven other schools at the 2007 Patriot Invitational held Friday through Sunday at George Mason's Jim McKay Natatorium inside the Aquatic and Fitness Center. The event will begin on Friday at 10:00 am with the preliminaries, while the Friday finals are set to begin at 6:00 pm.
Also with GW and the host Patriots, teams from American, Georgetown, Seton Hall, Shippensburg, UMBC and UNC Wilmington will also compete at the three-day event. Saturday's schedule will follow Friday's format while the Sunday prelims and finals will begin one hour earlier, at 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, respectively.
In their last meet, both GW squads fell in their home opener to A-10 rival La Salle.
The Colonials men and women finished in sixth and ninth place, respectively at last season's Patriot Invitational.
Admission for the Patriot Invitational is $5 for adults and $2 for youth and senior citizens.
