Men's Soccer Promotes Bryan Davis to Assistant Coach

WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington University men's soccer program has promoted Goalkeepers Coach Bryan Davis to Assistant Coach, Colonials head coach George Lidster has announced. The Milwaukee, WI, native will begin his second season with GW in the fall and will assist Lidster in all phases of the men's soccer program.
Last season, Davis worked with the squad's goalkeepers and assisted Lidster with recruiting and training in his first year on the Colonials' staff. Under Davis' tutelage, senior goalie Derek Biss ranked seventh in the A-10 in goals against average (1.30) and fourth in saves per game (5.15).
Davis came to Foggy Bottom from Milwaukee where he served as the head coach of Waukesha West High School from 2003-04. Under his guidance, Waukesha West earned a top five state ranking in 2004, and a ranking of 12th in the region. In his first season, he mentored current Colonials' Greg Yahr and Thomas Stuber, who played for him as seniors in 2003.
He also has coaching experience with several Olympic Development Programs. Davis was a coach for the Wisconsin ODP in 2004 and is on the 2005 Virginia and Region II ODP coaching staffs. In addition, Davis serves as the director of the Elite Team Camp and the Elite Goalkeeper Academy. He holds NSCAA National and Advanced National Diplomas, and a USSF National Goalkeeper License to go along with NSCAA Level I and II Goalkeeper Diplomas.
Presently, Davis is also a coach for the Potomac Soccer Club in Potomac, MD and his U-15 boys team finished third in the nation at the 2005 U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship.
Davis played for the University of Cincinnati in 1997 and the University of Wisconsin in 1998 and graduated from Wisconsin in 2001.
