STATE COLLEGE, PA -- GW senior Brian Carroll (Crystal Lake, IL) shot a seven-over-par 223 to tie for seventh place, eight strokes off the pace, in the Rutherford Intercollegiate Saturday and Sunday at the par-72, 6,828-yard Penn State Blue Course.
Eatern Michigan won the 15-team tournament with a 54-hole total 892, nine strokes ahead of the Colonials (314-287-300--901). Eastern Michigan's Korey Mahoney took individual medalist honors with a one-under 215, two strokes ahead of Towson's Alex Brueggmann. freshman Lewis Sturdy (Keston, Kent, England) each
GW seniors Andrew Gallo (Toronto, Ontario) and Dan Mirabella (Ann Arbor, MI) each fired a 224 to tie for 11th place among the 83 entrants.
Next up for the Colonials is the 54-hole Atlantic 10 Championship, May 5-7, at Orange County National Golf Couse in Orlando, FL.
