MONTCLAIR, VA - The George Washington University women's tennis team knocked off Maryland-Baltimore County, 4-3, Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at the Montclair Country Club. The Colonials dropped the doubles point, but rallied in singles play winning at the first through fourth positions to secure their first victory of the 2006 season.
In singles play, senior Anastasia Skavronskaia (Miami, FL), sophomores Kendall Swenson (Shaker Heights, OH) and Tracy Stecko (Lake Forest, IL), and freshman Madhuri Jha (Oak Brook, IL) each won their respective matches in straight sets.
