WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington women's basketball team begins a two-game Smith Center homestand by hosting Liberty on Sunday at 2:00 pm.
No. 21/19 GW (7-2) welcomes the Lady Flames for the first time in more than 19 years and for just the second time overall. The Colonials crushed Liberty, 74-30, at the Smith Center on Dec. 1, 1977, in the most recent meeting. LU defeated GW, 55-46, in the initial meeting the year prior.
Jessica Adair, Kenan Cole and Sarah-Jo Lawrence combined for 50 points in GW's 85-62 loss at No. 6/5 Tennessee on Thursday. The game marked the 17th straight season in which the Colonials have played at least two ranked opponents in a single season.
