Garman Wins Third Straight Rookie of the Week Award

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Freshman goaltender Caitlin Garman picked up her third consecutive A-10 Rookie of the Week Award for her performance in GW's two victories last week.
Garman improved to 9-1 on the season, earning wins against Saint Mary's (CA) on April 22 and Massachusetts on April 24. She established a new career high with eight saves versus the Minutewomen to help GW clinch its first-ever bid to the Atlantic 10 Tournament. Her nine victories this season are a new single-season record.
Garman has made 51 saves this season and owns a 6.2 goals-against average, which as of the last statistical reporting period led the nation. Garman also has a .485 save percentage.
The Colonials will conclude their regular-season schedule on Sunday, May 1 with a 1:00 p.m. contest at Temple.
