Beck Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week Again

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Freshman point guard Kimberly Beck was selected as the Atlantic 10's Rookie of the Week for the third straight week and the fourth time overall on Sunday, Jan. 30. Beck averaged 12.7 points and 7.0 assists in three games for the Colonials last week.
Beck contributed a career-high nine of GW's Atlantic 10 record 34 assists versus St. Bonaventure on Jan. 23. She also chipped in 15 points against the Bonnies. The 5-8 guard outdueled fellow freshman Safi Mojidi of Rhode Island six days later in the Colonials' triumph over the Rams on Jan. 29. Beck finished with 16 points in the contest, one shy of her career high and made a personal-best four three's. She also averaged 4.7 steals for the week and played all 40 minutes against Temple on Jan. 27 and went the distance again against Rhode Island two days later.
Beck is averaging 8.1 points per game on the season and leads the A-10 in assists per game at 5.2.
The Colonials will head to La Salle on Friday, Feb. 4 for a 7:00 p.m. tip off against the Explorers.
