Bonnies Invade Smith Center Sunday

WASHINGTON, DC - The Colonials (11-5, 4-1) Atlantic 10) will look to extend their home winning streak to 15 when they host St. Bonaventure (6-11, 1-5 Atlantic 10) on Sunday, Jan. 23 at 2:00 p.m.
GW is coming off its second win over a ranked opponent this season. The Colonials upset No. 25 Richmond, 69-57, on Jan. 19 at the Smith Center. The Buff and Blue are currently third in the A-10 West Division behind Xavier and the Spiders.
Senior All-America candidate Anna Montañana and Jessica Simmonds each rank in the top 12 in the league in scoring rebounding. Montañana is tied fourth in scoring average at 15.8 points per game and is 12th in boards (6.7 rpg). Simmonds is eighth in scoring (14.8 ppg) and fifth in rebounding (8.1 rpg). GW is only squad to have two players in the top 12 in both categories.
Freshman Kimberly Beck is also making her mark in the conference. She leads the A-10 in assists average (4.81 apg) and assist/turnover ratio (1.88).
The Bonnies are coached by Jim Crowley who is in his fifth year at the helm of the program. He owns a 41-88 (.318) overall record. St. Bonaventure enters the pairing with a 6-11 record and a 1-5 mark in conference play.
Stephanie Collins is the team's leading scorer. She ranks ninth in the A-10 with a 14.4 points per game average. Tory Vyborny is also averaging double-digit points (12.1 ppg) and leads the club in rebounding (6.4 rpg). The Bonnies are surrendering 68.4 points per game and are only averaging 59.1.
The Colonials are 28-1 against St. Bonaventure all-time, including a 14-0 record at home. The Bonnies only win against GW came in 1989.
