ZURICH, SWITZERLAND (Aug. 18, 2001) - GW notches their second victory in Switzerland, toppling the Fribourg BBC 79-63. Fribourg is considered one of the top teams in Switzerland and played the Colonials evenly through the first two quarters, with GW edging them by only one point at the break, 34-33. However, the Colonials would regroup and come out firing, outscoring Fribourg 27-10 in the third quarter to take a commanding lead they would never relinquish. Ugo Oha had another strong game, scoring 18 points and blocking five shots. Cathy Joens continued her successful return to the hardcourt with a solid outing, scoring 13 including 4-4 from beyond the arc. The women next travel to Locarno, Switzerland, to take on the club team Bellinzona at 8:00 pm. Following the game, GW will travel to Italy on Sunday, August 19.
