Towson Edges Gymnastics

Junior Jessica Mantak (Colonia, NJ/ Wardlaw-Hartridge) was the Colonials top performer. Mantak finished second in the all-around with a 39.10. Mantak also finished second on the beam (9.85) and third on the floor exercise (9.825).
Junior Devin McCalla (Dallas, TX/ J.J. Pearce) finished first on the bars with a 9.90 and also finished second in the vault (9.825). Sophomore Christy Gerard (Heath, TX/ Rockwell) had another strong performance on the beam, finishing third (9.800).
The Tigers won the meet by beating the Colonials in the vault, bars and floor exercise. Towson won the vault by .30 points, bars by .20 points and floor by .20 points.
GW returns to Smith Center this Saturday, March 10, when they face the North Carolina Tar Heels and Yale Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.
