Four Colonials Garner All-Conference Honors

Senior Kristeena Alexander (Hempstead, NY/Christ the King) and Sophomore Erica Lawrence (Nyack, NY/Nyack) headed the Colonials veterans, as both were named to the All-Conference Second Team. Alexander averaged 9.3 PPG, 6.0 APG, and 3.1 steals per game while acting as floor leader for the Colonials attack. Lawrence was the Colonials leading scorer during the season, averaging 13.9 PPG while shooting a robust 57% from the field. She also added 4.7 RPG as well as 28 steals in conference play.
Junior Elena Vishniakova (St. Petersburg, Russia/Heathwood-Columbia, SC) made her impact known in her first season in the Atlantic 10, earning Third Team All-Conference honors. Vishniakova averaged 10.4 PPG and 4.6 RPG, but stepped up her game during the conference season, averaging 11.4 PPG in Atlantic 10 play.
The Colonials next take the court on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Verizon Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia. Saturday’s game will pit the Colonials against the winner of Friday’s Duquesne/St. Bonaventure game.
