McCalla And Mann Earn Atlantic 10 Gymnastics Honors

McCalla, the reigning Atlantic 10 Performer of the Year, finished third in the all-around with a score of 39.375 against #2 Utah, #10 Florida and North Carolina on Saturday, March 17. McCalla finished third on the bars (9.850), fifth on the floor (9.875) and vault (9.825) and sixth on the beam (9.825). McCalla ranks first in the Atlantic 10 in the all-around and floor exercise. She ranks among the Atlantic 10’s top performers in vault, bars and beam. This is the fifth time this season that McCalla has earned at least a share of Performer of the Week honors.
Mann finished tied for fifth with McCalla on the floor exercise (9.875) against Utah, Florida and North Carolina. She is among the Atlantic 10’s top performers on the floor. This is her third Rookie of the Week award.
GW’s next competition is tonight, March 19, at 7:00 p.m. at Maryland. The Colonials then return to Smith Center on Saturday, March 24, at 1:00 p.m. when they host the Atlantic 10 Championships. GW will be seeking their fourth consecutive Atlantic 10 Championship.
