McCalla and Mann Sweep Atlantic 10 Gymnastics Honors

McCalla, the reigning Atlantic 10 Performer of the Year, won the all-around with a score of 39.400 against Rhode Island on Sunday. McCalla also finished third in the all-around against Maryland with a score of 38.775 on Thursday. McCalla won the floor exercise in both meets and finished second on the vault in both, including a score of 9.825 against Rhode Island, which tied her career high. McCalla now ranks first in the Atlantic 10 in the all-around and floor exercise. She ranks second in the conference on the beam and vault.
Mann continues to have a solid freshman campaign. The freshman scored a 9.750 on the floor exercise against Maryland then followed it up with 9.775 against Rhode Island. Her score of 9.850 on the floor exercise at the GW Invitational on January 21 ranks third in the Atlantic 10 this season.
GW’s next competition is Saturday, February 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the Towson Invitational. The Colonials will look to repeat last year’s performance when they won the Invitational with a score of 194.375.
