Men's Soccer Johannsson Named Rookie of the Week

PHILADELPHIA, PA - (Nov. 7) Sophomore forward Arnar Johannsson was named Rookie of the Week by the Atlantic 10 Conference after scoring three goals in conference action last week.

Johannsson's three goals, included two game-winners, to give George Washington a 2-0 record on the week. He netted the game-winner in the 113th minute of a 2-1 double-overtime win against Duquesne on Nov. 2. Then tallied two goals in a 3-1 win over St. Bonaventure on Nov. 4. Of Johannsson's ten goals this season, nine have come in Atlantic 10 action. He has scored at least one goal in six straight matches. This is Johannsson's third Rookie of the Week citation.
