Gymnastics Finishes Second at GW Invitational

Junior Devin McCalla (Dallas, TX/J.J. Pearce) led the Colonials by winning the all-around with a score of 39.000. McCalla's performance was highlighted by a 9.90 on the beam, which won her the event. Sophomore Kacey Coyne (McLean, VA/ O'Connell) won the vault with a score of 9.75 and freshman Rachel Mann (Atlanta, GA/Lakeside) had a sparkling debut, winning the floor exercise with a score of 9.850. Senior Darden Wilee (Chesapeake, VA/ Great Bridge), junior Jessica Mantak (Colonia, NJ/Wardlaw-Hartridge) and McCalla also had outstanding performances on the floor exercise as the Colonials captured the top four spots in that event.
The Colonials' next competition is Friday, February 2 at the University of Kentucky against the Wildcats and the University of Georgia.
