Coppedge Leads Women's Soccer Over Temple

Washington, DC - Junior midfielder, Erin Coppedge (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's)
scored all three GW goals to lead the Colonials over Temple Friday afternoon in
a hard-fought game between the two Atlantic 10 rivals.
Coppedge scored her first two goals early in the first half to give GW a 2-0 lead, but the Owls answered back with a penalty kick goal by senior, Julie Marx at 37:30 of the first half.
Coppedge scored again two minutes into the second half to put the Colonials up 3-1. Temple got another goal by Marx to cut the lead to 3-2, but it was not enough as GW was able to hang on for the victory.
The Colonials will remain in Philadelphia until Sunday when they play St. Joseph's at 2:00 p.m.
