Colonials Top Terriers 1-0 in Physical Match

Pilkington led the team with seven shots on the day, scoring on his fourth shot off a feed from Fabio Andrade in front of the Terriers' net in the first half. Eluding the diving goalkeeper, Pilkington put home the shot at point-blank range.
Physical play set the tone early, as both the Colonials and Terriers battled to control the pace of the match. GW was able to prevail by keeping constant pressure on the Terriers' goalkeeper Marcus Maurice who ended the day with 11 saves. The Colonials outshot St. Francis 18-11 for the game, holding off a final push by the Terriers in the closing minutes.
GW goalkeeper Nick Parypinski recorded his second straight shutout, ending the game with four saves. The Colonials improved to 3-1-0 on the season while the Terriers fell to 2-2-0.
