Baseball Defeats St. Bonaventure 6-4

Washington, DC -- The George Washington baseball team defeated St. Bonaventure University 6-4 at Barcroft Park in Arlington, VA to complete the three-game sweep of the Bonnies. The win improves the Colonials' record to 4-2 in the Atlantic 10 Conference and 20-13 overall.
The Colonials were paced by a strong performance on the mound by sophomore Chris Worth (North Arlington, NJ/North Arlington). Worth pitched six and a third innings, giving up only one earned one and striking-out four Bonnie batters. With the performance, Worth improves his record to 4-5 on the season.
Freshman Glen Skutnik (Lorton, VA/Hayfield) pitched the final two and two- thirds innings of the game to earn his second save of the season. Skutnik only allowed one run and struck-out two in the effort.
Junior Dan Rouhier (McLean, VA/St. Alban's) led the way for the Colonials offensively. GW broke the game open in the sixth inning when Rouhier singled home two runs to give the Colonials a 4-1 lead. Rouhier had another RBI single in the eighth inning. For the day, Rouhier went 2-4 with three RBI's.
The Colonials return to action Tuesday when they host cross-town rival Howard at 3:00 p.m. at Barcroft Park in Arlington, VA.
