Gymnastics' McCalla, Mantak Named All-Academic

Washington, DC -- George Washington University's gymnastics team members Devin McCalla and Jessica Mantak have been named to the Atlantic 10 Conference All- Academic Team, it has been announced by the conference.

McCalla, a sophomore from Dallas, Texas, posted a 3.33 grade point average while majoring in Business Administration. McCalla was named the Most Outstanding Performer at this year's championship, and broke the Atlantic 10's and GW's All-Around record with a score of 39.550.

Mantak, a sophomore from Colonia, NJ, posts a 3.52 grade point average while studying Pre-Arts and Sciences. Mantak was named to the All-Conference Team this year, and set personal bests in the All-Around, Floor Exercise, Balance Beam and Vault.

McCalla and Mantak help lead the Colonials to their third consecutive Atlantic 10 title and a trip to the Region VI Finals in Athens, GA. The Colonials were ranked as high as No. 26 during the season and finished with 21-11 record.
