McCalla Named A-10 Performer of the Week

WASHINGTON, DC (Feb. 14, 2000) Sophomore Devin McCalla (Dallas, TX/JJ Pearce HS) has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Performer of the Week for gymnastics, the conference office has announced. It marks the second time this season McCalla has won the award.
McCalla's all-around score of 39.225 at the University of New Hampshire Invitational was the highest in the Atlantic 10 this season.
McCalla earned a score of 9.875 in the balance beam, placing first for the tournament and tying her for second this season in the Atlantic 10. McCalla also went on to score 9.850 on the floor exercise, 9.775 on the uneven bars, and 9.725 in the vault.
GW placed second in the four-team UNH Invitational behind the host Wildcats and ahead of third-place Bowling Green State and fourth-place Maryland.
GW competes next at the Towson Invitational on Sunday, February 20, at 1:00 p.m. at Towson, MD.
