Stetson Powers Over George Washington 9-2

The victory moves Stetson to 3-1 while George Washington (0-1) falls in its season opener.
Dinardo (2-0) pitched eight strong innings, allowing just four hits and two runs, one of which was earned. Andy Wilson pitched a scoreless ninth.
Colonial starter Adam Belicic (0-1) cruised through the first three innings, but ran into trouble in the bottom of the fourth. Down 1-0, the Hatters scored three times to take the lead, including an RBI single from Vinnie Rinaldi.
Stetson added three more runs in the bottom of the sixth. Mike Fellman contributed to the rally with a two-out, two-run single.
George Washington narrowed the gap to 6-2 in the top of seventh, but Frank Corr's three-run home run in the bottom half of the frame put the game out of reach. Corr's blast over the left field fence was his second home run and 12th RBI of the season.
The teams will play game two of their three-game series Saturday at 2 p.m.
