Jeff Greenspan Named Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference

WASHINGTON, DC (Dec. 22) -- Senior Jeff Greenspan (Half Hollow Hills/Dix Hills, NY) has been named to the Atlantic 10 Fall Academic All-Conference team for men's soccer the league has announced. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a grade-point average of at least a 3.00 and be a starter or key reserve. Voting was conducted by the A-10 sports information directors.

Greenspan maintains a 3.70 grade-point average as an information systems major. As a senior defender this season, Greenspan started in 16 matches for the Colonials and had five assists. He was instrumental in helping GW improve their goals against from 31 in 1999 to 19 in 2000.

GW concluded the season with a 9-5-3 overall record. After finishing fourth in the conference, the Colonials lost a hard fought match to Dayton in penalty kicks in the Atlantic 10 Tournament November 3 at Kingston, RI.
