Colonials Fall in Season-Opener to N.C. State

Sophomore Devin McCalla (Dallas, TX/J.J. Pearce) recorded a strong night for GW, scoring a 9.725 on the bars, 9.700 on the floor exercise and 9.600 on the vault. N.C. State's Amy Langendorf led the Wolfpack by winning the all-around with a 38.875. She also won first place on the floor and bars with scores of 9.775. McCalla finished second in the all-around with a score of 38.525.
GW returns to action on Sunday, January 23, as it hosts the 17th Annual GW Invitational. The field includes North Carolina, Penn, Radford, Temple and William & Mary. The event begins at noon at Smith Center.
