Men's Soccer Falls 3-1 At Massachusetts

AMHERST, MA (Oct. 8, 1999) -- Fred Kintader scored twice and Adam Black added a late insurance goal as Massachsuetts defeated GW 3-1 this afternoon at Totman Field in Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer action.
Senior midfielder Evan Nierman gave GW a 1-0 lead with a six-yard tally in the 28th minute. Nierman was assisted by sophomores Ted Tucker and Michael Goldman. The assist was Goldman's seventh as he continues to be among the region leaders in the stat.
Kintader drew Massachusetts level in the the 32nd minute when he knocked in a loose ball in front of the goal. Kintader tallied the eventual game-winner in the 73rd minute with his second strike of the afternoon. Black added the unassisted insurance goal in the 88th minute.
Nick Parypinski recorded six saves between the pipes for GW. Todd Fowler tallied three saves for Massachusetts, who outshot GW 17-8 for the match.
